For over 35 years, Bill has handled a wide variety of litigation including multi-million dollar contract disputes and business/corporate lawsuits with a substantial emphasis and expertise in the areas of employment discrimination, non-competes, personal injury, shareholder derivative and other business disputes, and, most prominently, civil rights. While he has successfully prosecuted numerous cases on the plaintiff-side, the overwhelming majority of his practice is defending public entities located throughout the Eastern-half of Missouri. Bill has been lead attorney in defending approximately a dozen sophisticated civil rights class actions for various public entities in the St. Louis metropolitan area. He has successfully defended law enforcement officers in multiple wrongful death cases, trying several of them to a defendant’s verdict. Overall, he has tried to completion approximately 40 jury trials and scores of judge-tried actions with an extraordinary record of success. In addition, Bill has a substantial practice in real estate litigation, defending real estate agents and brokers in state and federal courts in Missouri and Illinois. Bill is an accomplished litigator who prides himself on hard work and preparation in everything that he does.

Mediation Services

Bill has added mediation services to his practice, having completed the comprehensive mediation training course and certification to conduct mediations at both the state and federal court level. Bill is on the approved mediator list for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri as well as the various state courts in the region.
